Students are also encouraged to take part in various inter-school competitions such as the Speech Festival and Drama Festival to gain more experience in the use of English. Results are encouraging and students’ confidence has been greatly enhanced. More than 100 students took part in the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival every year. |

In the 22nd Lions International Youth Exchange Scholarship Essay Competition, each participant had to write a 1200-word essay on the theme Media Facilitates Search For Truth Or Spreads Fake News? One of our students was shortlisted as a semi-finalist and selected for the interview round. She won within the 50th place and was awarded the Certificate of Merit. |

A Top 50 Finalist in Magazines International Young Writers Award 2022 |

One of our students from Class 4D participated in MI Young Writers Award 2022 during the special holidays and was shortlisted as a Top 50 finalist. The writing topic was: If I were a social media influencer, what would I post about? He received the Certificate of Merit and three English magazines as awards. |

Three 5D students participated in the 21st Lions International Youth Exchange Scholarship Essay Competition. Each of them had to write a 1200-word essay on the coronavirus-induced new norms; the impacts these new norms have on our health, environment, social justice and other issues; and the lessons learnt from the new norms from the coronavirus pandemic. |
